Quality Technician (Twinsburg, Ohio)

Quality Technician is needed for a Wiring Harness Manufacturing Facility in Twinsburg, Ohio. The function of this position is to develop stable and controlled Quality processes for implementation in the production process. The Quality Technician is a first shift position that is mostly an office position with some hands-on work necessary on the production floor. This position is Temporary to Hire.

Main job duties for the Quality Technician include: Will head-up one or more product launches or improvement projects inclusive of all controls required to monitor the process, relevant documentation, verification, capability studies, and all improvements required to ensure that jobs run in accordance with Quality standards. Must have knowledge of and be able to comply with all ISO 9001:2008, IPC, UL, CSA standards as it pertains to their work. Responsibility to analyze, coordinate and process all data related to the PPAP processes of new and revised products in an organized manner. Write accurate and complete control plans, PFMEA and inspection instructions. Review and approve supplier International Material Data System (IMDS). Review and disposition supplier PPAPs. Conduct proactive Control Plan and PFMEA reviews to ensure product and process controls are effective. Ensure info and samples received are consistent with requirements and program plan Ensure only current revision samples, prints and supporting documents are released to production. Develop Quality Alerts for various customer, internal and supplier issues. Ensure supplier corrective actions are effective, documented, implemented and closed in a timely manner.

Skills, Knowledge & Education: Minimum of three years’ experience working in a Quality environment, preferably an Electrical or Wiring Harness one. Must be proficient in using a computer with emphasis on Microsoft Office. ASQ Quality Engineer certification or equivalent would be a benefit. SPC, Blue print reading and GDT knowledge would be a plus. Need good communication skills (verbally and electronically) with domestic / international suppliers, customers and multiple functions inside the company. Need good organizational skills to be able to ensure deadlines are met & milestones are communicated in an effective manner and that databases / hardcopies are updated daily and/ or filed appropriately. Must be reliable, and a detail oriented, assertive team player.
