Job Summary:

The primary focus of this position is to oversee and be responsible for the success of the operations, revenue and profitability functions of a specific branch and operations yards (if applicable). Focusing on safety, profitability and revenue, this role will lead the branch team and ensure the branch and operations yards meet all expectations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Revenue, profitability and margin growth

  • Responsible to drive revenue growth and achieve maximum profitability within assigned branch territory through successful leadership and execution of all branch operation strategies

  • Manage P/L to meet or exceed plan

  • Develop plans and procedures with a focus on safety and profitability and will work with the Regional Manager to implement these plans

  • Work with Inside Sales Manager and Outside Sales Manager to support and coach sales representatives assigned to branch

  • Build and maintain key customer relationships and association memberships within the local market

  • Operations

  • Create culture of Safety First with daily focus on safety procedures and ensures all safety policies are being followed

  • Ensure branch meets all OSHA, DOT, state and local safety regulations

  • Identify opportunities for continual improvement and implement changes within the branch’s operations

  • Manage team of yard employees to ensure units and offices are quickly prepped and ready for rent or sale while maintaining Mobile Mini product quality standards

  • Oversee dispatch operations with optimal routing for on time deliveries, keeping pick-up status at or below company goal, maintaining delivery fleet and achieving trucking margins

  • Implement damage and repair procedures to achieve D&R revenue goals

  • Manage inventory count of units and offices in the yard and in the field to ensure all are accounted for

  • Address all customer needs and handle escalated customer concerns

  • Leadership

  • Recruit, hire, manage, coach and evaluate branch team to ensure high performance and hold team accountable

  • Manage talent by developing employees for next level opportunities

  • Maintain overall people/staffing plan of the branch and operations yards for maximum efficiency

  • Responsible to consistently and effectively communicate Mobile Mini objectives to all branch employees

  • Other duties as assigned

Equipment Used and Responsibility:

  • Computer, telephone and electronic office equipment

  • MS Office Suite,, Result, Descartes and other sales and revenue tracking tools and databases

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Yes –Branch Employees (both direct and indirect reports)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of management experience (military leadership experience may substitute for management experience). If no bachelor’s degree, must have 5 years of operations management experience in leasing, industrial, construction or related industry

  • Experience managing P&L and proven track record of profitability and continuous improvement or experience developing and administering a balanced financial plan while overseeing a military operation

  • Possesses sound business acumen with demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to make quick business decisions

  • Experience in operations with knowledge of DOT, OSHA and state specific safety regulations preferred

  • Intermediate knowledge in MS Office Suite, including Excel

  • Ability to multi-task effectively

  • Strong analytical skills, organization and accuracy

  • Ability to communicate clearly: verbal and written

  • Valid driver’s license
