TE Connectivity Product Manager in TROY, Michigan

Define and execute the product strategy of assigned product line. Manages the product portfolio, roadmap and P&L, driving improvement plans externally to gain market share and internally to improve profitability. (Products involved RF connectors & cable assemblies, High speed data connectors and cable assemblies, Fiber optic connectors and cable assembly, Wireless antenna & Ethernet connectors and cable assemblies)

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities:

  • Understands the marketplace of assigned product line and translate into internal actions, stays current on customer needs, macroeconomic trends and potential M&A.

  • Leads competitive landscape analysis and generates strategic plans for market share gain.

  • Define both a short term strategy to capture current market/revenue growth opportunities as well as a 5-10 year strategic vision for the product line.

  • Manage the product portfolio to streamline TE offer, taking advantage of market opportunities and improving margins.

  • Forecast and track sales and profits, proactively addressing issues and implementing actions to ensure revenue and margin target achievements.

  • Elaborate business case for new product projects and advocate on behalf of customers in the PACs.


  • Own the product roadmap and provides prioritized development guidance to the engineering organization.

  • Identify and execute on expanding our product portfolio in key strategic areas through new technologies.

  • Interfaces with customers in the development of specifications and technical refinements, which can be used to direct the development of new products or improvements to existing product.

Sales & Marketing

  • Definition of industry focused infotainment strategy based on customer, field application engineering and sales input

  • Identify breakthrough market trends and layout product roadmap to meet market expectations.

  • Define customer focused TE value proposition for strategic selling.

  • Coordinate communication with the sales organization to drive new product technologies in the market.

  • Define and execute pricing strategy for product portfolio, including compilation of competitive price points to manage upcoming price erosion in market.

  • Create and delivery technical product trainings and brochures, which will support Sales force and customer to understand the value proposal of our products.

  • Execute calendar of marketing activities including trade/exhibition shows and seminars.


  • In partnership with value stream leader’s work in specifics projects, including footprint optimization, to optimize resources and increase margins of assigned product line.

  • Facilitate with purchasing the development of a strong vendor base.

  • Continue to support relationships with key OEM and tier one industry customers, as well with the different department inside TE.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business required. MBA is a plus.

  • Minimum five years of experience working with a manufacturing or engineering organization required, preference in the automotive industry

  • Product management / development or new business development background a plus

  • Strong understanding of infotainment architecture in Transportation industry.

  • Strong knowledge in high speed data connectivity.

  • Strong business acumen & Strategic thinking.

  • Prior management experience required

  • Global work experience a plus

  • Fluent in English. Spanish is a plus

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills

  • Excellent knowledge of the products and processes

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills

  • Ability to indirectly manage people in matrix organization

  • Comfortable working around senior leadership
