The Point of Care Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all point of care testing according to manufacturer’s procedure, CLIA requirements, and Joint Commission and CAP accreditation standards. The Point of care Coordinator assures quality testing and accurate test performance through operator training, equipment monitoring, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, quality control review, and proficiency testing.
The POCC works with facility and department leaders to implement new programs monitor performance, collect and evaluate performance data, develop corrective action plans, and assist in the training and education of personnel regarding Point-of-Care and Quality activities. Also performs technical duties within the department as required.

Required Job Qualifications include : * Nationally recognized certification as a medical technologist.
Florida State Licensure as a MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST SUPERVISOR in all Laboratory areas is required.
Bachelor's Degree is required.
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
Strong team work and collaboration abilities.
