This register is being established and may be used to fill:
(A) Full time permanent positions; OR

The primary purpose of this position is to accomplish the repositioning and moving of various types of aircraft in rework hangers and other various airframes and offload/load flight safety equipment, store and deliver equipment. Operate specialized heavy-duty tow tractors and move large aircraft with expansive wing spans. Maneuvering is restricted and accuracy is critical. Inventory and offload Life Support equipment upon arrival and departure of aircraft. Store and transport gaseous and liquid oxygen for servicing aircraft. Operate diesel/gas/electric powered forklift trucks capable of lifting loads weighing up to 10,000 pounds and as high as 168 inches. Work with Hazardous Materials and/or generated hazardous waste.

Ability to do the work of (Tractor Operator (Aircraft)) without more than normal supervision. (This is a Screen-out Element. Screen-out Elements are the critical knowledge, skills, and abilities that are essential for satisfactory job performance. Applicants must receive a minimum of two points on the Screen-out element to be deemed eligible for consideration).
Skill in operating Tow Tractors, maneuvering aircraft inside hangers and outside locations with space restrictions.
Knowledge of safety regulations, practices and procedures.
Knowledge of Control Tower signals and various ramp and taxi locations.
Ability to read and interpret all usual instructions and production control and supply documents, including, requisitions, routing cards, and shop orders.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and/or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours worked per week.

Appointment is contingent upon passing a physical examination.
This is a drug testing designated position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program and is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment and participation in random drug testing.
Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain appropriate background investigation or security clearance.
May be required to work day, swing, or grave shifts, and overtime, rotating shifts, uncommon tours, weekends, holidays, etc.
Incumbent is required to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license and a valid U.S. Air Force Motor Vehicle Operations Identification Card as well as a valid Oklahoma state/Government and flight-line driver's License.
Will be required to assist (CDDAR) Crashed, Damaged, and Disable Aircraft Recovery team.
Required to marshal live aircraft to and from active runways.
May be required to travel for short periods of time and complete trip reports.
Must maintain good working relations with all personnel and comply with established policies and instructions, including Fire, Health and Safety Instructions: OI's, TO's and AFOSH Standards, good housekeeping, practices and other regulations and policies.
Operate 15K forklift to install/remove 5000lb ballast.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Physical effort is light to moderate. Exerts additional effort in operating the tractor and manipulating equipment controls compensate for difficult terrain. Subject to prolonged standing, walking, climbing or uneven surfaces rough or slippery surfaces. Work requires reaching, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs. Associated duties require stooping bending, and climbing. Lifts and carries objects weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally moves heavier object with assistance. Moderate physical efforts may be required in making couplings between the vehicle and towed equipment because of the tow bars,and pintail hooks must be lifted and properly secured.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:Working primarily outside and operates vehicles in natural extremes of hot and cold weather conditions and high noise levels (85 decibels). May be exposed to JP-8 jet fuel, chemical dust and sprays, dust, dirt, grease, and/or fumes and to the possibility of cuts and bruises as result of accidents when loading and unloading equipment. Follows prescribed safety practices and uses safety equipment to avoid injury and possible hazards in the work area. Works on steep slopes and in rough terrain, and may be subject to injury from falls or overturned tractors and equipment.
