Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development, delivery and tracking of middle-market ($500k - $20MM+) term equipment finance transactions (both term loans and leases) directly with non-customers of the Bank as end-user prospects within and adjacent to the Bank’s market footprint. Actively build new business and maintain profitable relationships. Increase company revenue by meeting and exceeding sales goals. Maintain acceptable territory management, sales activity, new business pipeline, and profitability as individual production. Meet or exceed personal production goals.
Also responsible for the development, delivery and tracking of middle-market term equipment finance programs (both term loans and leases) sourced through Umpqua Bank Commercial Relationship Managers in a designated territory or region. Work with all divisions and all management levels to identify target opportunities and facilitates underwriting at the appropriate point of contact (either a Commercial Banking Center or a Business Banking Lending Center). On each transaction, provide a succinct recap of an appropriate structure for these transactions to be included in the respective credit recommendations. Act as intermediary between prospect, Commercial RM, and credit administrators as needed.
Take responsibility for service level execution. Establish effective communication and rapport with UBELF Credit Manager and staff to ensure accurate and timely credit administration and transaction adjudication. On each transaction, provide a succinct recap of an appropriate structure for these transactions to be included in the respective credit recommendations. As needed on more complex transactions, prepare a detailed evaluation of collateral being offered. Work closely with Leasing Manager and Operations Manager/staff on pricing, structure, and servicing of new leases. Maintain thorough knowledge of and comply with UBELF underwriting standards, procedures and guidelines. Ensure lease documents are accurately prepared, executed and booked in a timely manner. Work with Leasing Operations to properly account for and manage ongoing risks of all leases.

Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of relevant middle-market leasing and commercial banking experience
Familiarity with assigned geographic markets within Bank’s footprint.
Extremely strong relationship management and business development abilities, analytical and problem solving skills, strong sales and negotiating skills, and project management/program development skills.
Proven track record of success and skills in developing new clients and business, including prospecting, sourcing, and networking.
Comfortable working with (or learning) database management tool such as Microsoft CRM or Salesforce.
Knowledge of lease and commercial lending structuring, pricing, policies, procedures, practices, documentation and community banking.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships.
Proficiency with personal computers and related software packages such as Word and Excel, T-Value and InfoAnalysis or similar lease analysis programs.
Ability to train and present to small and large audiences or has the interest in learning to train and present.
