The Accounting Manager, under the supervision of the Controller, is primarily responsible for the accounts payable functions and various accounting duties as assigned.

Job Duties:

· Manage and oversee the daily operations of two staff accountants. · Contribute to the month end & year-end close process – i.e. preparing and posting accruals and journal entries. · Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and conduct financial & statistical analyses, as well as maintain fiscal files and records documenting transactions. · Assist with the processing of accounts payable invoices – i.e. properly G/L coding of invoices; verify appropriate approvals; processing manual checks. · Assist in preparation of the annual operating budget. · Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls by following policies and procedures; complying with company policies, as well as federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. · Work with hospital personnel on annual physical inventory counts/processes. · Assist in preparation of regulatory reports and work papers for tax returns. · Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the accounting department when needed to assist operations.**


  • Minimum Qualifications Required*

    · College degree and 1 year related accounting experience. MBA preferred.

    · Advanced computer skills including MS Office and accounting software and databases.

    · High attention to detail and accuracy.

    · Able to organize and schedule tasks and manage simultaneous activities under stringent time constraints.

    · Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to operate as a team player.
