Morning availability will be required for training initially and the position would eventually provide coverage for the lab in the afternoons.

Position Summary:

Provides routine, entry-level technical assistance in carrying out assigned duties of research projects.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  1. Conducts various routine tests in a clinical and/or diagnostic laboratory setting involved in research.

  2. Collects research and clinical data in accordance with requested method.

  3. Collects and duplicates reference material.

  4. Orders laboratory supplies.

  5. Performs custodial laboratory duties.

  6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Casual Status - Part Time as needed, not to exceed 19.5 hours

Certification/Skills:

None.

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

No experience necessary. Six months of experience in research lab preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
