The Enterprise Cost Allocation and Analytics Center of Excellence (Enterprise Cost) team is responsible for providing enterprise-wide costing approaches and processes to: drive optimal cost data utilization; comply with regulatory/statutory requirements; equitably attribute cost for management reporting; and create leading practices in transparency and financial insights to improve overall financial results.

In connection with this vision, the Enterprise Cost team is extending its focus supporting cost transparency and insights by adding a team of dedicated financial consultants to interface and provide that perspective to their Line of Business (LOB) partners.

  • The Role*

The Cost Relationship Consultant (CRC) for Consumer Lending and PVSI will be responsible for understanding cost drivers and results that impact those respective organizations. This position will build relationships within the LOB/service receiver teams to understand their concerns and perspective as well as develop connections into the service provider groups to deliver line of business feedback, questions, and deep dive analytics with the overall focus of providing insightful perspective on cost and a platform for proactive communication. As a key leader in Enterprise Cost, this role will drive the financial maturity and transformation of costing across Wells Fargo.

Specifically, the Cost Relationship Consultant will:

• Provide a single point of contact of cost for the assigned LOBs

• Proactively host cost reviews with LOB Finance (and Leaders) providing insights into trends and drivers of cost for Enterprise Staff Groups and Functions increasing scope to ultimately include embedded LOB support functions

• Proactively review LOB INIE forecasts and identify potential adjustments that should be made during the forecast cycle

• Develop recurring reporting (partnering with the Reporting COE) that can be utilized and of value to the LOBs

• Serve as a relationship connection between service provider and receiver teams to drive more meaningful cost understanding and analytics that will enable better business decisions

• Drive greater education/communication of costing changes/impacts of methodology and drivers of cost

• Capture feedback from the service receivers of cost allocations and direct enhancements and suggestions into the service providers teams

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of finance experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics

  • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
