Oracle Senior Field Marketing Specialist, N.A. Marketing - HCM in Tarrytown, New York

Plans, executes, and measures demand generation marketing programs to grow sales pipeline and revenue for Field Sales organization.

Meets with Sales leaders to create strategic marketing plan in Sales support of pipeline and revenue objectives. Participant in regular pipeline and forecast review meetings. Develops and implements tactical marketing programs in conjunction with Sales, Channels, Product Marketing, Product Management, Oracle Direct (Telesales), and external influencers such as user groups and industry trade associations. Provides onsite execution support for marketing programs. Tracks lead flow to ensure the appropriate Sales channels are following up with event attendees and campaign responders in a timely manner. Creates and manages program budget, measures ROI through metrics analysis and reporting. Acts as a virtual team liaison for corporate business initiatives, programs and launches. Communicates program status, action items, and deliverables across Field Marketing team and Sales.

Proven track record executing multi-faceted event programs. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to provide consultative input to senior Sales leaders. Basic understanding of business management and operations, including finance/revenue/pipeline principles. Able to engage customers in dialogue about their business needs and IT solutions. Excellent written and verbal skills, and ability to work on far-flung virtual teams. Moderate technical and strategic understanding of Technology, Applications, and Industry solutions being marketed. Attention to detail and discipline to follow established policies and processes from event design to execution to lead flow.

The Senior Field MarketingSpecialist willorganize and ensure the smoothoperation of key marketing events, from planning and budgeting toimplementation and reporting. This includes third-party and Oracle-led events,intimate networking receptions, roundtables, customer events, product launches,co-sponsored roadshow events and major trade shows that generate leads for ourNorth America HCM sales teams.

The ideal candidate for theSenior Field Marketing Specialist role must exhibit a highly professionaldemeanor, be able to manage across lines of business, cultures and geographies,and able to synthesize complex concepts and net out largeamounts of detail into a few key highlights. Communication skills,both verbal and written, must be exemplary. Information technologyindustry experience and understanding of competitive landscape iscritical. Experience in working with senior-level executives is a plus. Event experience with demand generation andMQL lead generation event driven marketing is a must.

Metrics and reporting is vital inthis role as well, thus the ideal candidate will have a proven record of diligentlytracking metrics and reporting on results. The candidate will be expected totrack specific KPIs across our senior level executives and create quarterlyreports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with North America HCM Sales totranslate business goals and objectives from marketing plans into compellingevent strategies and plans that deliver engagement, leads, pipeline andrevenue.

  • Set priorities in the implementationand creation of events that support the business, program strategy/objectives,and integrated campaigns utilizing Oracle Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Oracleportfolio content (offerings and messaging), and aligned (high value) offers.

  • Work with the corporate andintegrated marketing team to ensure world-class quality events are produced includingspeaker sourcing, invites and registration pages, event follow up offers, etc.

  • Communicate on a frequent basis eventplans and results to multiple sales leaders and their organizations.

  • Develop and deliver breakthroughideas and innovative event activities / tactics that attract new buyers anddrive engagement.

o Create event proforma/prospectus forthe recruitment of partner sponsorships.

o Work with the digital and socialteams to develop a digital surround strategy that engages the target audienceand drives their active participation to meet the objectives of the event.

  • Track, measure and report on eventperformance against agreed-upon metrics, working with the events team toidentify and analyze gaps and actions plans to course-correct event execution.

  • Hands on role-own an event plan andall aspects of execution through lead and pipeline results.

  • Manage the overall creation andexecution of events on budget, on time and on target.

  • Communicate effectively, on aregularly scheduled cadence, to ensure stakeholder alignment.


  • 10 years in an event strategy/planning role, preferably in theareas of event marketing, field marketing, and/or channel marketing.

  • Strongevent experience with demand generation and MQL lead generation event drivenmarketing

  • Track record of creating exceptional events that deliver strongROI

  • Strong understanding of communications strategy,marketing and branding principles

  • Proactive, problem-solving and organizational skills

  • Strong collaborative and relationship-buildingskills

  • Ability to stay ahead of trends and best practices for eventplanning and promotions

  • Basic understanding of lead generation and flow within a B2Borganization

  • Expertise in managing projects across various,regionally distributed teams

  • Experience working across departments, with leadership, and withexternal agencies to guide event.
