Department Information Technology Services / Research Computing Center Responsibilities Florida State University seeks a Director of its Research Computing Center (RCC). This is a 12-month Senior Research Faculty position (non-tenure track) that reports to the Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO). The Director will also have an affiliation with at least one academic unit and will have a permanent position on the FSU IT Governance Council to give this person a vantage over research computing activities and opportunities at Florida State. The RCC operates within Florida State University as an academic service unit of Information Technology Services (ITS). This partnership enables the RCC to leverage ITS infrastructure and staff and places the RCC in an excellent position to support university-wide research. The Director oversees the professional staff and the students responsible for maintaining core systems, services, and software used to support the university's diverse research portfolio. The Director will coordinate with members of advisory panels and an Executive Board to develop a strategic plan for sustaining FSU's ability to provide high quality research computing resources to its faculty.
