AMSOIL INC Racing and Events Manager in SUPERIOR, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: AMSOIL INC. located in Superior, Wis. is looking for a Racing and Events Manager. This unique role within the AMSOIL Marketing group will market and promote AMSOIL through racing, event and tradeshow opportunities. AMSOIL sponsors many national race series, race teams, individual racers and riders, race tracks, car shows, motorcycle rallies, outdoor lifestyle shows, enthusiast events, and industry tradeshows. The person in this position will develop the marketing and logistics plans for each of these partnerships. This person will report to the Director of Integrated Marketing, manage a small team and will collaborate with different departments and teams across the organization in order to develop the best on- and off-site engagement and experience. Requirements/Expectations: Responsibilities: Manage all corporately-sponsored race programs and event sponsorships. Partner with the Director of Integrated Marketing to negotiate and execute the contractual and budgetary work behind the sponsorships. Engage racing series, teams, tracks, enthusiast events and tradeshows to fully leverage the partnership via the identification and execution of marketing and sales opportunities. Manage the team by guiding show selection to ensure all chosen events align with the brand, marketing strategy and marketing campaigns. Manage the AMSOIL online presence with each partnership via placement on websites, social media, e-newsletters, etc. Manage the on-site AMSOIL presence, including coordinating logistics, event teams, signage, public address, public relations, marketing, hospitality, booths, promotions, etc. Develop enthusiast-related content supporting the AMSOIL brand in the form of testimonials and videos. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements include: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Communication or equivalent work experience 3-7 years of experience in marketing, racing/event execution and public relations Experience managing a team Proven success in managing a sizeable budget for a corporation Strong collaboration and negotiation skills Ability to communicate effectively and in a courteous and professional manner, both verbal and written Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Work is performed in an office setting a majority of the time, however, attending events may be outdoors in cold or warm climates Heavy lifting may be required in order to assist with set-up and tear-down of event equipment Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record and current insurance Travel 4-8 days per month to various races, events, or industry trade shows.
