The Director assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing, and managing the department to assure quality service. Recommends a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care. Ensures responsibility for integrating the department services with the hospitals primary functions. He/she is required to develop and implement policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services. The director ensures orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in their department(s) is provided. Continuously assesses and improves their department’s performance and maintains appropriate quality control programs.

Education:BSN preferred.

Licensure/ Certifications:Current RN Licensure. BLS and ACLS required upon hire.

Experience:Minimum of two-three years of management experience.
