SECURITY OFFICER I

* Position Summary: * Responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, employees and medical staff. Protects and ensures all buildings, grounds and parking lots are safe and secure. Also responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the policies and philosophy of SSM Health Care.

Qualifications

Position Requirements (General):

EDUCATION: High School or equivalent (GED)

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, BONDING: St. Louis City/County Metropolitan Security License (obtained within 30 days if primary facility, 90 days if secondary), St. Charles County Security License (obtained within 30 days if primary facility, 90 days if secondary), current Driver's License, St. Louis City/County and St. Charles County Baton License (obtained within 90 days)

EXPERIENCE: One to three years Security Officer experience. Health Care experience preferred. Familiar with municipal, city and state laws.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Interpersonal skills and effective oral and written communication skills.

Department Specific:

The ability to use a radio, video equipment, protective devices, baton, and other equipment as needed.
