Job Summary

BASIC PURPOSE : Under the supervision of the Manager of Admitting / Registration at each site, the Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of registration, admitting, cashiers and operators (if applicable). This person is responsible for assisting the manager in the coaching and development of all staff performing these functions and must ensure that the department remains in compliance with all departmental, institutional and regulatory policies applicable to these functions. Providing excellent service to all customers is a high priority, while also promoting and driving high quality work to promote a healthy revenue cycle and excellent customer satisfaction outcomes. The supervisor must work to promote an energized and motivating environment for the staff in order to effectively accomplish the other objectives of this job. The supervisor supports the manager and director through problem solving and all other tasks necessary to support high quality operations.


Education: High school graduate / GED. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience: 1-3 years of healthcare experience preferred. Patient Access experience preferred. Proficiency with Windows technology required.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Professional and working knowledge of Healthcare access process; Staff training experience; Access information system knowledge. HBOC knowledge is a plus. Medical terminology a plus. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information according to internal policies.

Shift and Job Schedule

Full-Time, 40 hours/week

Days, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
