General Assembly Process Technical Engineer (6/7)

Hiring for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Shifts. This job will require working various shifts, overtime, and some off-shift production support

Key Job Elements:

Manage, create and implement quality control procedures for General Assembly tooling and equipmentManage, create and implement quality control procedures for General Assembly tooling and equipment

·Provide a safe work environment

·Maintain Tethering and tooling constraints

·Manage Gage List & Certification Activities for Process Tools

·Monitor compliance to PCP's

·Manage T&E bulletin data for Process Equipment

·Implement ME GA / GQM requirements to Fastening Best Practices, PCP implementation & sitewide procedures

·Maintain and ensure we have spare parts for equipment

·Host Torque Auditor through your area of responsibility

·Respond to Line Calls to assist teams

·Research & Analysis (GSIP, VIS Mockup, EPAD, drawings, Measure parts, etc)

·Work on Miscellaneous Error Proofing/Torque Concerns

·Writing Process Change Requests and Get Approvals

·Continuous Improvement (PRTS, Suggestions, Warranty, JDP)

·Be a technical resource for skilled trades and production teams

·Support the maintenance group for all activities, including breakdowns & project planning

·Support production & maintenance for TIP

·Provide an environment which stimulates team member involvement and personal growth

·Implement model change and/or re-rate related process changes

·Perform Practical Problem Solving

·Collect data from GSIP and Tools Net

  • Design and build specialty tools for Production

Required:

·Process validation experience with new equipment build, installation and start-up

·Broad knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes including fluid fill equipment

·Well-developed oral and written communication skills

·Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

·Must be willing to rotate shifts

·Extensive ISO Knowledge

·Extensive GMS Knowledge

·Bachelor degree (Mechanical or Electrical)

·2-5+ years of related experience in Automotive, High-Tech Manufacturing and/or Mechanical Tooling settings.

Preferred:

·Production and/or maintenance leadership experience

·Launch experience
