Material Shift Leader - 7th Level

Hiring for 2nd & 3rd Shifts. This job will require working various shifts, overtime, and some off-shift production support.

Provides direction and supervises medium to large groups of employees engaged in Material Activities.

Major Duties / Responsibilities

·Participates in selection of new employees

·Trains, develops and evaluates employees

·Develops corrective action to address material flow improvements

·Develop inventory forecast and production schedules

·Identifies and escalates material related issues internally in the plant to all functions

·Frequent contact with others outside the work group

·Coordinates material handler/production control activities and related areas

·Implements safety and good housekeeping standards

·Deep understanding of material flow and requirements

·Deep knowledge of unit scheduling and inventory control systems

·Strong leadership skills

·Analytical ability where problems arecomplex

·Strong oral and written communication skills

·Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees, and elicit work output

·Demonstrated knowledge and ability to implement and apply GMS principles

Preferred Education/Training/Experience

·Bachelor's degree in relevant field

·5-10+ years of experience is relevant field

·Multi-plant or functional experience preferred
