12508936: IT- Software Engineer I Posted: 11/29/2016 Region: PAML - Eastern Washington/Northern Idaho City, State: Spokane, WA Schedule: M-F, 8-5 Status: Full Time Summary Job Description This is an entry level software development position responsible for system documentation, development, testing, and support for a range of computer software applications, while applying the principles and techniques of Object Oriented Programming to solve business problems. Responsibilities Perform software documentation, coding, testing, deployment and maintenance activities. Participate in the software design process including creation of design requirements documents, detailed functional specifications, test plans and acceptance criteria documents and other artifacts. Exercise sound software engineering judgment, involving value and relative importance of features or issues, risks and priorities of current tasks, estimates of work and time to deliver a specific task, etc. on day to day activities and be able to communicate changes, issues, and concerns in an effective and timely manner. Submit designs and code for review and perform reviews of team member's work. Participate in assigned aspects of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis and prototyping, high-level design, detailed functional and design specifications, software implementation, testing, and maintenance of existing software at the direction of the group leader.
