Department Marketing Statement

SCANA, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking an exceptional part-time Remittance Processor I for our team in the Remittance department of the SCE&G facility in Cayce, SC. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, high-energy employee with an enthusiasm for customer satisfaction to process remittance and related correspondence from SCANA customers.


Duties for this Remittance Processor I position include (but are not limited to):

  • Processing mail-in payments using automated mail openers and payment processing software

  • Trouble shoot payment processing equipment and software

  • Manually posting customers’ payments to our Customer Information System

  • Balancing cash reports

  • Researching inquiries regarding payments and making accurate corrections as needed

  • Assisting with the daily administration of bank drafts, credit cards, bank payments, Return Checks, and Vouchers


Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Outstanding use of a 10-key calculator

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of experience in remittance or related work field or Associate Degree with 1-3 years of experience in remittance or related work field

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Time management skills

  • Excellent data entry and decision making skills

  • Must be available to assist with any major storm duty during an emergency situation

  • Must be able to operate high speed, large equipment in a fast pace environment

  • The desire to work part-time (28 hours/week)
