PSEG Project - Performance Measurement Analyst in SOMERSET, New Jersey


This is a "Project" position designed to support project work for a limited duration. While the exact duration of the project is yet to be determined, we currently anticipate a period of 3-5 years based on business needs at the present time following which you will separate from the Company. It is important for you to understand that this period may be shortened based on business needs in the future at which point you will separate from the Company. It is also important for you to understand that this employment is of a limited duration and that you will not be entitled to separation benefits under any PSEG plan at the time you separate from the Company. Director Level approval and waiver will be required for you to bid on other PSEG opportunities within the first 3 years of assignment. From year 4 through the end of your assignment, Director level approval and waiver will not be required. If your assignment ends prior to the anticipated timeframe based on business needs, you will be allowed to bid on other PSEG opportunities without Director level approval from the time you are notified your assignment will be ending through the end date of the assignment.

Position will report to the Utility Technologies GIS\SCADA team located in Somerset NJ, but reporting location will change as needed to electric divisions’ headquarter/sub-headquarters.

Work as a Performance Measurement Analyst to provide on-going development and production support needs for systems utilized by Utilities Technologies. Work with Team Members, PMA’s and electric division’s personnel to coordinate the digitization of UG prints utilized by the Markout group. This will be accomplished by collecting prints from multiple sources such as MicroStation, PDF’s, Mylars, etc, and linking them to the corresponding features in GIS. This will involve overseeing the scanning, renaming, organizing, hyperlinking, and file sync/replication of the UG prints. The ultimate goal is to make these prints available via the GIS Web Viewer and accessible to all MDT users out in the field.

This project will require experience in participating in cross-functional teams, with associates from multiple departments to facilitate business processes and system support. Documentation and reporting will be required to track the progress and the steps taken to complete the project. Adhere to project schedules and milestones and provide leadership and guidance to others in the organization. Provide oversight and assist others that utilize GIS to create or modify GIS records as well as provide process support. Major duties include analyzation of facilities records and enforcement of policies and procedures to ensure that asset records are timely, accurate, and properly maintained and reported. Will be responsible for establishing policy as to how the systems and the data provided by them, are to be used to support GIS goals and to extract the maximum value of GIS.


BA/BS degree in GIS or related field.

• Minimum 2 years of GIS (ArcMap, ArcCatalog) experience.

• Knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD.

• Experience with image processing.

• Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel and Access.

• Demonstrate ability to locate and extract data from business systems and to produce ad-hoc reports.

• Demonstrated organizational and analytical skills.

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
