The EM Make Senior Director, ASPAC will report to the Vice President Global External Manufacturing, and will represent ASPAC on the Global, EM Make Leadership Team. This position will also have a dotted line to the Regional VP, Manufacturing and will operate under strong collaboration with all functions that constitutes the E2E Supply Chain. The EM Make Senior Director is also a member of the regional SCLT.

The EM MAKE Senior Director is accountable for developing strong Make capabilities among the EM MAKE team: He / She will ensure the team manages the External Manufacturing Network in all aspects of the operations to ensure that products meet quality and compliance standards, are available to customer as needed and deliver the right value to consumers and the business.

He/ She will also ensure all team members have appropriate personal development plans and training engaging people into a relevant career’s experience. Specifically, as People Manager, this role must ensure employees under the scope of responsibility are trained in required procedures for the execution of their role and maintain current with training requirements during the year; must promote an environment of employee involvement in the work place and must seek prompt identification, reporting and correction of deviations in the workplace as noted by employees. Additionally, this role must have the ability to lead a remote team of professionals located in various facilities and countries.

The EM Make Senior Director, is responsible for continuously improve reliability across the manufacturing network. This individual provides inputs for EMs development, leads implementation of policies, standards, guidelines, new technologies and procedures for managing EMs, establishes and manages partnerships with strategic suppliers in order to deliver on regional strategic commitments. He / She ensures proper risk assessments and capacity evaluations are performed regularly to prevent issues.

The EM Make Senior Director has a direct contribution in developing business strategies and creating network alternatives to unlock competitive advantage as well as the responsibility for managing multiple teams of directors and managers. He / She will contribute to EMs selection and product relocation by bringing the Make point of view in the discussion including technical and process details for the products to be manufactured at the contract manufacturing facilities while supporting Source Quality in developing and implementing supplier quality management program.

The EM Make Senior Director, will lead the execution of contracts to ensure optimum costs, reliable and compliant supply of products. This individual will align with other supply chain leaders to ensure successful process improvements and project execution, reviews prospective improvements, corrective actions, validations and manufacturing scale ups at the sites, provides leadership in resolving and escalating problems and will play a key role in ensuring on time site readiness.

The EM Make Senior Director will play a key role in L&A projects running in the region. He will both be in many cases involved in due diligences or sites evaluations and need to propose organizational changes to better support integration of new businesses.

The Senior Director, EM MAKE will provide monthly metrics to top management to ensure proper performance management in areas such as quality & compliance, customer service; reliability and cost. Performances must be in line with business plans and strategic goals both at regional and global level. This individual will maintain the awareness of current industry trends and conditions that affect suppliers, cost of goods, pricing and may have operational or strategic implications for the company.


The qualified candidate will have a minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree. A minimum of 12 years of experience in any combination of the following related areas: Manufacturing, Contract Manufacturing, Supply Chain Planning, Strategic Sourcing and Distribution, Quality. A minimum of 8 years of people management experience with demonstrated success in performance management and development is required. Strong project management skills and any combination of operations management, negotiation, financial or analytical skills are required.

An entrepreneurial self-starter with strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence across functional levels up to the Board or Ownership is also required. Strong knowledge of cGMPs is required, with additional experience in Medical devices and Pharmaceuticals' preferred. Prior experience in managing suppliers, negotiating contracts and working on supplier agreements is strongly preferred. Prior knowledge of Advanced planning systems such as ERP, MRP, and SAP is preferred. Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training and/or certification is preferred.

The role may require domestic and international travel of up to 40% of the incumbent’s time. The position is based in Singapore.
