We are looking for an experienced Systems Development Engineer to lead the automation of innovative data management solutions at Internet scale. This includes Lifecycle management, where a developer can define lifecycle rules from creation to automate archival to lower cost storage in Amazon Glacier and schedule deletion. Another example is Cross-region replication, offering automatic, asynchronous copying of objects across buckets in different AWS regions. In this role, you will develop system management tools and processes that reduce manual efforts and increase overall efficiency. You're an experienced engineer, having worked in Java, SQL & Scripting. You have a comfortable understanding of Linux, networking and cloud services, and will be expected to perform high quality systems automation, deployment, operations, best practices application and customer outreach. You'll work on the Lifecycle team with System and Software Development Engineers, who participate equally in operations tasks including customer outreach and on-call rotations. You will be part of a growing and dynamic team. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or relevant work experience. 4+ year's experience programming in at least two of: Python, Java, C, C#, Ruby, Perl, PHP Have a comfortable understanding of Linux and networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, TLS.
