Sr. Business Intelligence Manager, Last Mile Experience in Seattle, Washington

The Amazon Logistics Last Mile Experience team is a global team that works with operations, product, program and technology teams in each of our markets to define the customer experience at all customer touchpoints and influence stakeholders and partners to build technology and processes that enable great last mile service experience, build service capability and drive quality and operational excellence. We are looking for a passionate self-starter who loves the challenge of solving problems by partnering with stakeholders to build tools and reporting systems that deepen our collective understanding of our customers, their last mile service experiences and areas of opportunity for improvement. The ideal candidate has outstanding business intelligence subject matter expertise, a proven ability to define their own roadmap and deliver results, an ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders and excellent analytical abilities, He/she will be able to work independently, be comfortable with ambiguity, be able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail), and will enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.


  • Drive the BI roadmap, prioritizing long-term and short-term initiatives that are aimed at driving customer delight, generating deep insights to stakeholders and optimizing last mile service experience

  • Build an intelligence and insights reporting platform that surfaces trends and actionable data to relevant stakeholders

  • Proactively identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations that help drive customer experience improvements

  • Partner with analytics, product, program, operations and technology teams to reduce last mile service defects

  • Reporting of key insight trends (using statistical rigor) and building proactive automated Andon mechanisms

  • Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes through simplification and automation

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, Statistics or related discipline

  • 5+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, analytics, business analysis or comparable consumer analytics position

  • Top notch written and verbal communication skills to convey key insights from complex analysis in summarized business terms

  • Experience in designing and implementing custom reporting systems and working with technical teams

  • Proficiency with MS Excel, SQL, ETL processes, Tableau and AWS Redshift

  • Knowledge and direct experience using business intelligence reporting tools. (OBIEE, Business Objects, Cognos, MicroStrategy, SSAS Cubes, etc.)

  • MBA or advanced business degree is preferred

  • E-commerce/ Transportation experience a plus

  • Lean Six-Sigma qualifications and experience

  • Experience using a major programming (e.g. Java/C) or a scripting language (e.g. Python, Perl, Ruby, PHP, etc.)

  • Knowledge of AWS Infrastructure including S3, Redshift, DynamoDB and RDS
