SOUND TRANSIT invites applications for the position of: SOFTWARE ENGINEER Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veteran/Disability Negotiable SALARY: OPENING DATE: 09/19/16 CLOSING DATE: Continuous GENERAL PURPOSE: Under general supervision, serves as the technical lead to manage, develop, implement, and maintain the Agency's Web sites as easy-to-use tool for customers; functions as a technical consultant to the Agency on Web site issues; analyzes and resolves technical issues related to the Web as needed/requested; serves a source of information and consultation on matters related to website design, organization, system maintenance and updates; and performs other technical tasks as assigned. Works with the Web Site Coordinator to manage, maintain and continue to enhance the Agency's external Web site; works closely with departments regarding website design; ensures website meets the objectives of content, audience, goals, and functionality; and provides advice and implementation of redesign of the Agency Website. Maintains and enhances the Content Management System for the external Web site. Provides lead technical direction and support to the Web team in maintaining the external Web site and implementing interactive content; ensures timely response to Web requests and changes; performs a variety of functions related to the management, development, implementation and maintenance of the Agency's Web site; assures the quality of the Agency's Web site, including development and maintenance. Coordinates and delivers web projects on time an in line with Agency's communication strategy; Implements Web development projects to enhance the Agency's external Web site. Helps develop and maintain other Agency Web sites; and provides advice and implementation of redesign; manages the development process, content and creation process.
