Amazon.com Senior Manager, Technology Audit in Seattle, Washington

Amazon is seeking a Senior Manager, Technology Audit to build and lead a Center of Excellence for our Internal Audit team. This is a high visibility opportunity to drive technology enhancements across the company and increase productivity of Amazon’s Internal Audit function in a rapidly changing environment. Internal Audit’s mission is to help the business to improve controllership, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

As a Senior Manager, Technology Audit, you will build a team to develop standardized technology audit programs for existing and emerging technologies, identify recurring findings, determine root causes, and drive solutions to remediate these issues across the enterprise, develop training for our Audit team, and develop data analytics tools.

In this capacity, you will provide consultative support to both Internal Audit and our business partners and gain valuable exposure to many areas within our global business. You will lead people, direct meetings, and be a champion for positive change. You will have a broad technical background and the ability to learn new technology concepts quickly. You will demonstrate sound business judgment, strong controllership focus, and the capability to drive a fast paced organization to the right results with an innovative and pragmatic approach to problem solving.

This position will be based out of Seattle and may require up to 10% travel, including some international travel.

  • BA/BS degree in information systems, computer science, or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in Information Security, Technology Audit, IT Risk Management, Security Compliance, Technical Program Management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Results-oriented leader – ability to motivate, manage, and drive consensus across diverse teams

  • Consulting, advisory, or related client service experience

  • Software development, IT operations, or related experience

  • Working experience with a service-oriented architecture (SOA)

  • Working experience with cloud computing environments

  • Graduate degree information systems, computer science, or related field

  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM)

  • Familiarity with COBIT, ISO and/or ITIL frameworks

  • Ability to travel up to 10%
