Program Manager, Supply Chain Execution-Capacity in Seattle, Washington

North America Supply Chain is looking for a motivated individual with strong analytical skills, supply chain knowledge, and technology experience to join our Capacity Planning & Analysis team as a Program Manager. In this position, the successful candidate is responsible for developing long term fulfillment center demand plans and presenting the results to downstream stakeholders. This position partners with various supply chain functions such as inbound/outbound transportation, finance, and operations to manage the required inputs. The position also works closely with key business stakeholders to provide critical supply chain data analysis and recommendations to justify the plan outputs. Finally, this position develops and implements ideas to drive continuous improvement by simplifying the process, creating additional value, and driving automation.

As a member of the Supply Chain organization, this position plays an integral part in's inventory management by leading and/or supporting new business initiatives to improve inventory placement and fulfillment to our customers. This position provides opportunities to influence one of the high visibility/high impact areas in the organization.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or 2+ years Amazon experience

  • 5 years of experience with Supply Chain management concepts such as forecasting, planning, optimization, or logistics gained through work experience and/or graduate level education.

  • Quantitative and qualitative data analysis experience with demonstrated impact to a business, a track record of creative problem solving, and the desire to create and build new processes.

  • Working knowledge of program management

  • Working knowledge of end to end Supply Chain processes and principles

  • Experience communicating effectively with senior management as well as with colleagues from computer science, operations research, and business backgrounds.

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel and SQL (or other query language).

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, or other supply chain related field preferred

  • Proven track record of success in a Supply Chain planning role

  • Cross functional project management experiences

  • Prior use of Lean and/or Six Sigma analytical techniques a plus

  • Experience communicating effectively with VP level and above decision makers.
