Amazon is seeking an Industrial Designer to lead global improvement initiatives in our state of the art fulfillment centers as part of our WW Operations ACES Team. ACES is Amazon Customer Experience System, which includes standards and continuous improvement. We adapt industry best practices and methodologies to Amazon to forge the path to excellence in operations.
This position requires the ability to innovate, analyze, plan, organize, implement, and manage process improvement projects to maximize safe, economical, and effective use of materials, energy, and people.
Performance Objectives will include:
Designing systems that increase critical-to-quality (CTQ) business needs by improving integration of people, materials, equipment, software, and finance.
Leveraging and integrating advanced technology into process design to maximize return on investment and minimize costs.
Innovating and designing new or improved processes to support the business needs.
Conducting detailed process analysis including time and motion studies, and safety/ergonomic, process complexity, cost and environmental impact analysis.
Recommending and implementing changes to procedures, work methods, and labor standards based on these analyses.
Project and Change management from conception to completion.
Build and publish critical data for understanding areas of financial opportunity and continuous improvement activity results, analyze root causes of difficult problems using statistical tools, and support the creation of reports and executive level documents.

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited university.
Ability to work with all levels of Associates and Managers and work effectively in a team environment.
Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project) and AutoCAD.
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
Master’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
Experience in Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Economics, or related field.
Knowledge of analytical problem solving tools including Statistical Hypothesis testing, Optimization heuristics, DMAIC, Six Sigma, Simulation, Queueing Analysis
Experience in applying Math/Stat/analytical tools in the CPG/Retail environment for optimization problems
Proven experience and proficiency in effective written and verbal communication
Demonstrated knowledge of key business financial metrics
Experience using either JMP or Minitab, SAS, SPSS, R, etc.
