Position Title Maintenance Technician Auto Req ID 47703BR Job Description The Maintenance Technician performs day-to-day general preventive and corrective maintenance of noncritical infrastructure. Assist with monitoring operations, conducting routine and on-going assessment of the building systems operations and performance. The position requires an awareness of critical environment operating practices and protocols and routine conduct of hands-on maintenance work on a variety of non-critical facility systems and equipment in an operating critical environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Team player with the desire to foster teamwork to help create a positive working environment. * At the direction of supervisor, maintains non-critical equipment such as refrigeration, heat exchanger, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and hot water systems. * Monitors operation. * Adjusts and maintains refrigeration, chilled water, air conditioning equipment, boilers, ventilating and hot water heaters, pumps, valves, piping and filters, and other mechanical and electrical equipment * Records readings and make adjustments where necessary to ensure proper operation of equipment. * Routinely performs all work in strict accordance with CPG and DCM Critical Environment Management programs, standard operating procedures, and maintenance guidelines. * Receives and executes work orders for preventative and corrective maintenance on critical systems and building physical structure. * Consults with supervisor to order necessary materials to complete all maintenance and perform necessary work. * Finalizes work orders by completing necessary documentation in the computerized maintenance management system. * Operates and monitors critical and non-critical system equipment and components. * Oversees critical work efforts (including 3rd party contractors) for the safe and compliant operation, maintenance (corrective and preventive), and modification of critical equipment. * Disables and enables fire alarm control panels and systems. * Responds immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns. * Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. * Maintains a clean and safe workplace. * Performs other duties as required to meet clients objectives and acts in other capacities when required. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * High School diploma or GED equivalent * Mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire suppression system knowledge of commercial/critical facilities required. * Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
