Number of Openings: 1 Requisition Number: 16-14010 Job Title: Laboratory Assistant III, Research GMP Department: 39822-Core Svcs Ops - GMP City: Seattle State: Washington Location: Olive Lab at MPW Secondary Location: Union: None Work Status: Regular Shift: Day Shift FTE/Hours per pay period: 1.0 FTE (80 hours per bi-weekly pay periods) Hours Per Shift: Call Hours: Work Days: Monday-Friday Salary: Depends on Experience Job Description: The Therapeutic Cell Production Core (TCPC) laboratory is a good manufacturing practices (GMP) cleanroom facility located on the Seattle Children's Research Institute's downtown campus. The TCPC is dedicated to providing translational researchers with the infrastructure and technical expertise to adapt cell-based research laboratory methodologies to a manufacturing environment for clinical trials targeting pediatric diseases. The laboratory assistant III will provide support for materials management and inventory, equipment maintenance, environmental monitoring of clean room facility, transportation of samples and material to other sites, reagent preparation, process improvements, and other duties as assigned. Provide support to the Therapeutic Cell Production Core (TCPC) GMP facility and Quality control lab; Provide Support to the Research Laboratory. Requirements: Required Education/Experience: - AA Degree or some college coursework in chemistry, biology, etc. and/or related experience in a laboratory. - Familiarity with research laboratory environments. Required Credentials: - As per the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), for Lab Assistant III performing moderate or high complex point of care testing, a copy of a diploma or transcript of the highest level of academic achievement to be on record with Human Resources upon hire. Preferred: - Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, Immunology, etc.).
