FARESTART Kitchen Manager in Seattle, Washington
FareStart has an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to be our School Meals Kitchen Manager. An opening is available for an energetic and experienced manager to lead the School Meals team, to provide a sense of community, and an encouraging learning environment for our students while also providing outstanding and memorable experiences for our School Meals clients. In this position, the Manager is responsible for the daily operational management of a growing team, and therefore will need to have a strategic vision for growth while managing and developing his or her staff members. Additionally, the Kitchen Manager will oversee School Meals production and logistics, ensuring that meals are produced and delivered timely, efficiently, and safely. To Qualify, You Should Have: •Bachelor’s degree preferred; at least 7 years kitchen management experience, or equivalent combination required. •Experience and/or interest in training; experience training disadvantaged men and women, preferred. •Demonstrated coaching style reflecting compassion, wisdom, and integrity. •Experience developing/working within budgets and focusing on cost control. •Strong leadership skills, with a passion for staff development, ability to resolve conflict, and inspire teamwork and collaboration. •A commitment to excellence through teamwork, positive change, and communication. •Knowledge of Childcare Nutrition and CACFP guidelines a plus. •Demonstrated strong customer service and external relationship building skills. •Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems, including resolving contract compliance issues. •Demonstrated organizational skills.
