The Water Business Group (WBG) Major Campaigns Director (MCD) reports to WBG President, and is ultimately responsible for implementing overall strategies that facilitate winning top line pursuits and implementing the WBG strategic vision. The Global MCD serves on the WBG Executive Leadership Team. Specific Responsibilities * Participate in the development of the overall WBG Strategic Plan * Drive the overall tactical implementation of the Strategic Plan to advance our top line pursuits in close partnership with regional, market sector, alternative delivery and professional services leadership * Manage Major Campaigns Team Globally * Drive the Major Campaigns Team to identify, prioritize, and successfully capture top line pursuits * Set and manage Major Campaigns budget for regions and market sectors * Provide leadership and overall management of proposal efforts for top line pursuits; translate business development, win strategy concepts and client insights into a coherent proposal plan * Work with leadership group to drive proposal teams through storyboarding and theme/message development; write non-technical text, edit and proofread documents * Plan and facilitate strategic pursuit technical workshops and interviews * Work with the Creative Services Team to develop pursuit-specific marketing materials * Lead multiple concurrent proposal teams including assembling the pursuit team, scheduling and facilitating win strategy meetings, directing follow up actions, and producing final submittals * Coach teams for interviews and presentations * Participate in client debriefs for proposals won and lost * Guide and train local staff in proposal concepts and practices * Direct interaction with clients in support of identifying and securing major campaign pursuits * Attend industry conferences to develop and nurture client relationships * Employ and improve HDR's marketing-related tools and resources * Work with the Marketing Services team to address workload situations; anticipate and plan for optimum staff utilization * Manage the analysis of proposal win rates and process improvement initiatives * Ensure quality, budget, and schedule performance of pursuit efforts *LI-DP1 Key Words: business development, water, waste water, water resources Qualifications Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science or related field * 12 years of experience in consulting industry business development * Demonstrated experience leading large pursuit teams * Proven history of winning large, complex projects * Proven success in North America and Global Water Markets * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Work cooperatively with diverse t
