Prime Now Launch PM

This position directly supports Amazon’s ultra-fast, same-day delivery service known as PrimeNow.

Amazon is looking for a Program Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own strategic, tactical, cross-functional and technology projects with the Prime Now team. This role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks, and process/product changes. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Sr.PM on creating launch strategy for the Prime Now Operations

  • Developing and coordinating with launch teams to ensure successful site launches

  • Partnering with other teams to source, allocate and coordinate launch resources

  • Managing and delivering results on complex projects across multiple organizations

  • Gathering and analyzing data on launch performance results

  • Creating, communicating and managing budget for launch support

  • Innovating to improve processes and continuously removing cost from our launches and operations

A successful candidate will also demonstrate:

  • Analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases

  • Demonstrated ability to dive deep in understanding the product, our business, and the competitive landscape

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Business, Operations, etc.) or 2+ years' Amazon experience

  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and SharePoint

  • Work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

  • MBA/MS and work experience in dedicated project management highly desired

  • Prior experience or use of PMP/Lean

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Visual Basic programming language and Excel query and script creation are a plus

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills complemented with the ability to problem solve independently
