The Global Vendor Management (GVM) team was created to accelerate the growth and the branding of our key priority vendors across all of the Amazon Retail country websites. Our team will create solutions to drive a better customer and vendor experience, and enable improved selection and value propositions worldwide. Amazon is looking for a smart, enthusiastic, hard-working, and customer focused candidate to join the Global Vendor Management team as a Global Account Manager. We are seeking a customer-obsessed individual with strong vendor management skills to build collaborative relationships with both vendors and vendor management teams across worldwide Amazon Retail (US, Canada, Europe, China, Japan and India websites). Your work will directly impact how we evolve and grow our global business. A successful candidate can lead and participate in teams across different countries to deliver results. This person loves working with others - both internal colleagues and vendors. Others will enjoy working with this individual to deliver significant growth. He/She can partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand the challenges and business needs and identify solutions to help drive the business. In addition to partnering one-on-one with internal vendor teams and external vendors, this individual will work well with others to deliver efficient processes that are scalable and automated where possible. The successful candidate will be highly collaborative, globally minded and have an extremely high level of customer focus, cultural sensitivity and a passion for process improvement and developing partnerships. You should be a motivated self-starter that can work both independently and with others in a fast paced, ambiguous environment in different cultures. You should have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work across countries and markets and with business owners to define and deliver improvements in selection and vendor relations. Responsibilities include: - Lead efforts worldwide to increase vendor selection and premium content. Develop strong collaborative relationships internally and externally. - Provide recommendations to simplify and scale complex processes across the globe to accelerate the business. - Spearhead new ideas with vendors. Drive campaigns across multiple categories and continents. - Identify key vendor opportunities through data and scorecard management - Provide input on the design and validation of new systems and functionality to enable processes. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of business experience Bachelors Degree Global Business Experience Vendor Management Experience Preferred Qualifications Advanced Degree Strong relationship management skills (vendor or account mgmt) Proven strong analytical capability Persuasive oral/written communication skills. A solid team player able to work across countries and organizations successfully. Adept at working with different systems and making recommendations on improvements for both systems and processes.
