A day in the life…

The associate stylist position acts as a styling liaison to operation, creative, and business partners on all phases of marketing photography projects.  

  • Provide styling assistance and collaborate with key partners ensuring that the creative vision and business goals are met

  • Plan, facilitate and/or execute assigned projects

  • Attend pre-shoot and turn-in meetings to gain a full understanding of a project and communicate knowledge to appropriate partners

  • Identify styling needs, edit styling selection in advance of projects, and communicate to partners

  • Work with merchandise and styling coordinators to ensure efficient, organized and accurate merchandise flow

  • Support stylists during style out and help identify opportunities and drive solutions

  • Maintain and support the daily activities of the Styling Team

  • Support Nordstrom business and brand strategy by staying current on customer segments, seasonal product priorities and Nordstrom on-figure styling requirements

  • Consistently strive for improved efficiency; review practices and procedures and work to implement changes as appropriate

  • Mentor coworkers and less experienced staff as appropriate

  • Occasional Travel required

You own this if you have…

  • Deliver exemplary customer service through strong ownership and professionalism

  • Demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through relationship-building, reliability and collaboration

  • Deliver productivity through the efficient use of time and a commitment to strong results

  • BA degree in marketing, fashion merchandising or related field

  • Minimum of 3 years on figure styling experience or assistant styling experience

  • Strong organization and time management skills with keen attention to accuracy and detail

  • Ability to work independently a well as collaboratively

  • Occasional travel requested

  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, (indesign/photoshop/bridge only) preferred
