Requisition Number 16-0077 Title Account Manager Location United States-Multiple Locations Other Location CA-San Jose / CA-Pleasanton / WA-Seattle Position Type Full-Time Description Cray Inc., a global leader in supercomputing, is seeking a territory account manager with the opportunity to sell high performance computing systems, storage and data management and data analytics solutions in the Bay area, northern California, Oregon and Washington. Responsibilities: Sell complex technical products and/or services across all product lines in the assigned territory. Identify sales opportunities within accounts/territory, negotiate terms, and close sales. Perform as a product expert to develop and present sales proposals and systems solutions. Partner with key decision-makers to close complex technical sales. Working out of a home office, the account manager must live in the geographical territory near a major airport and expect at least 50% travel. Requirements Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline and at least 10 years' experience selling high tech products or solutions with at least 5 years sales experience specifically in the high performance computing industry. Strong knowledge and experience with industry leaders, customer management and decision makers. Proven track record at influencing large scale solicitations and procurements for favorable outcome. Familiarity with technical computing customers in the territory, HPC concepts, and storage based products with a preference to knowledge of Lustre. Experience selling in the data analytics industry is ideal. Ability to persuade others in sensitive situations without damage to the relationship Excellent communication skills, customer relationship building skills/expertise/opportunity generation and a self-starter, with initiative and motivation.
