HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Registrar Lead in San Jose, California

Schedule: Full-Time, 1.0, (40 hours per week), Shift:Mixed, rotating weekends.

Internal Posting Period: September 29, 2016 – October 6, 2016

Responsible for providing feedback on daily registration processes and staffing issues to the Patient Access Supervisor. Provide assistance to staff level employees as necessary to insure compliance with department policies and procedures. Assist supervisor with staffing, report reconciliation, QA process, and other duties as assigned.


Experience in customer service. 3-5 years experience registering patients in a healthcare setting preferred.


High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.


Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.

Establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by constantly meeting and exceeding expectations.

Able to work effectively with other employees, patients and external parties.

Demonstrates proficiency in PC applications as required.

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systems.

Able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately.

Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance processes.

Demonstrates the ability to Registrar all patient types in all patient care areas.
