Experience and Other Skills Required
Three years of related professional experience in any combination of areas such as the following: consultant to businesses in international trade, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, teaming agreements, finance and/or procurement, strategic planning and management, staff member within a business/economic development organization, manager or proprietor of a business, or banking with commercial lending experience in either small business or middle-market sectors. Excellent interpersonal skills.
One year of experience in developing and coordinating international trade training programs or conferences for small businesses in both English and Spanish.

Description of Job Duties
Conduct training, consulting developing larger minority owned enterprises; Key areas include access to markets (International), procurement, Joint Ventures, Teaming Agreements facilitation, and finance of Mergers and Acquisitions as well as traditional business lending.
Perform and provide needs assessments for larger minority owned businesses and recommend plans of action.
Export readiness assessments and recommend action plans to clients. Actively participate with senior management on the implementation of those recommendations.
Examples include international strategic plans, marketing plans, and financial analyses.
Conduct training, consulting and development programs for minority entrepreneurs and business owners. Provide global/teaming/joint venture opportunities and executive training.
Work with the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) to collaborate in the development, communication, implementation and continuous improvement of minority business enterprises to promote growth and global competitiveness making minority owned businesses better equipped to create and retain jobs, impact local economies and complete successfully in global markets.
Assist in the development and implementation of workshops and conferences for larger minority owned businesses including participation as a speaker.
Participate in marketing and outreach efforts.
Attend professional development workshops and seminars relating to the development of larger minority owned business enterprises.
Assist in the preparation of program reports.
Attend MBC regional and national meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
