CACI International Electrical Engineer Senior for Aerospace Solutions Group (ASG) in San Antonio TX in San Antonio, Texas

Job Description:

This is an new Business Development opportunity in San Antonio TX in support of the Aerospace Solutions Group (ASG) which anticipates substantial additional personnel requirements across a number of labor categories and levels beginning in early calendar year 2017, contingent on receiving awards for both the BAT (Bomber Armament Tester) and the ATSSI (Automatic Test System Sustainment Initiative).

Electrical Engineer Senior:


  • Electrical design of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) including interface test adapters and test cables

  • Identification of ATE hardware resource requirements

  • Performing upgrade designs to existing ATE systems

  • Specifying ATE requirements for Test Program Set (TPS) development efforts

  • Designs discrete, special-purpose circuitry. Specifies components and instrumentation to meet specific operational and performance requirements

  • Aid TPS software engineers in troubleshooting Unit Under Test (UUT) stimulus/response issues

  • Serve as Mentor to less-experienced engineering staff

Required Experience

  • ATE hardware design

  • TPS hardware design

  • Troubleshooting electronic circuitry

  • Experience with developing test solutions for DoD agencies

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Desired Experience

  • Experience using National Instruments test tools and hardware

  • Experience using PCB layout and routing tools. Experience with design simulation

  • Experience designing custom power sources and supplies

  • Experience in complex analog circuit design

  • Experience using CAD tools such as AutoCAD or SOLIDWORKS

  • Development of ATE and TPS for aircraft electrical, mechanical, avionics and engine systems

  • Knowledge and use of ISO 9001, AS9100 or CMMI quality process standards

  • Experience with either depot or field support equipment


Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent and fifteen years of related experience.


Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
