Position Responsibilities\Requirements:

Technical Support Engineer — Salt Lake City

We are looking for a senior Technical Support Engineer to provide application and technical support to our business analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of issues reported and see problems through to resolution

  • Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve issues

  • Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams

  • Provide prompt and accurate feedback

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or in Information Technology or equivalent

  • Knowledge in SQL server

  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to interact effectively with technical personnel

  • Self-motivated, works well with little direct supervision

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Ability to write SQL queries to create, retrieve and update data within a database

  • Experience with one of the following databases: SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Sybase

  • Work closely with the Project Management, Business Analysts, and Infrastructure teams

  • Proficiency with C# OR Java preferred

  • Respond to issues in a timely fashion

  • Understanding of Networks preferred
