Additional information about our Coronary Care Unit: * 12-Bed CCU

  • Nurse to patient ratio based on acuity

  • Patient turnover ranges from 2 days - 2 months depending on patient conditions

  • Types of patients you will see on this unit: STEMI, Cardiogenic Shock, and Post Cardiac Arrest

  • Nurses in this unit will be trained for Therapeutic Hypothermia, Impella, Intra-aortic Balloon Pump, and Continuous renal replacement therapy

  • Growth opportunities include: Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification and participation in Shared Governance Councils


  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  • Registered Nurse License issued by the Department of Health Professions, Commonwealth of Virginia

  • BLS Certification (within 60 days of being hired)
