U.S. Bank is seeking a Data Center Engineer with electrical/mechanical/HVAC and facility engineering support experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Responsible for daily operation of the facility engineering environment, supporting one of the company's main data centers; electrical and mechanical distribution, power generation, cooling, UPS, automated building controls, and Fire/Life/Safety. Performs preventative maintenance programs for all critical and non-critical plant operations with minor supervision. Works with management to develop, recommend, and implement departmental policy, guidelines, standards, and procedures; assures compliance with all governing corporate standards and guidelines. Ability to read/comprehend architectural, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical drawings. Builds and maintains effective communication and relationships with management team, vendors, and peers. Develops and maintains interpersonal communication channels to convey information internally and externally. Performs on-call and after-hours support functions as directed by departmental policy or management. Works all required overtime. Demonstrates skills, behaviors, and attitudes consistent with the strategic objectives and values of the organization. Follows all OSHA, safety, and environmental programs; including training and certification, as required, to maintain compliance.

Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Requires vocational trade school diploma or certificate formal training in area of specialty.
Requires 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within HVAC field.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Works under immediate supervision.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
Install, adjust, maintain, and operate all HVAC systems including, but not limited to Electrical and Mechanical control systems, Air Handlers, Chiller Units, Cooling Towers, Variable Frequency Drives, Humidifiers, Pumps and water treatment.
Troubleshoot equipment utilizing mechanic drawings and electronic schematics.
Be able to work from electrical schematics and trace circuitry when schematics are not available.
Apply technical knowledge to solve problems that cannot be solved solely by reference to manufacturer's manuals or similar documents.
Develop a working knowledge of the functions and operations of the operational equipment, systems and controls
Perform tasks working as a member of a team with other Job Classifications providing help and assistance as required
Perform duties consistent with this classification with limited supervision and provide technical guidance to lower level classifications as required
Collect and provide analysis of technical data.
Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements.
Perform other duties as required.
