Friendship is looking for a Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will: Correctly operate kitchen equipment and utensils. Reports for assigned shift in proper attire. Prepares special foods or requests assigned on the forecasting sheets. Uses communication sheets provided to tell supervisor and line personnel which foods have been prepared for meals. Helps and assists other cooks when completing assignments. Attends in-services required per facility requirements. Maintains good attendance and arrives/departs work at the scheduled time. Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by Food Service Supervisor, Dietary Managers and/or Friendship Retirement Community Administration.
This position is located at our Starkey Road Location.
The successful candidate must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have cooking experience or a desire to learn. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors, and the general public. Must be able to work harmoniously with other personnel.
