Group O IT Manager in Roanoke, Texas

Group O is searching for a IT Manager to join our team! The role of the IT Manager is to be accountable for establishing, managing and coordinating resources and processes to support the business / client strategies. In addition, they will be well versed in the business goals & objectives by aligning technical capabilities that deliver on the vision for the program that they support. Expert in the marketplace, need to know trends, competition, positioning, and be able to assimilate that information to create road-maps and project planning.

  • Work together with the business / client to plan and execute projects, ensure that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources (to include offshore resource team) to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for time-lines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines

  • Demonstrate leadership abilities to our clients with the deployment of software upgrades, enhancements and fixes that are prioritized & coordinated based on release schedules

  • Provide software development plan that meets the future needs of our clients and markets, based on the state‐of-the-art technologies

  • Evolve the existing software system applications and architecture in various areas as needed to ensure technologies are properly supporting the business

  • Work with the business & client teams to create solutions that successfully meet the objectives defined by the strategic road-map

  • Define & deliver on key business & technical SLA metrics to successfully support the program

  • Manage, monitor, document and update key partners on known incidents/issues that are being worked through resolution

  • Ongoing management & auditing of resources & data integrity

  • On-boarding & implementation of new system(s) in support of the product

  • Manage 3rd party software engagements directly tied to the product

  • Help team resolve both technical problems as well as human resources issues

  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Software Engineering or other IT discipline or related field

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • PMP preferred

  • Skills:

  • Project planning, management, execution and delivery

  • Minimum of 5 years of management / leadership experience in a software development organization with a strong understanding of Agile & Waterfall methodologies

  • Strong leadership skills - Ability to lead a (onshore & offshore) project team and manage high performing resources. Provide guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development

  • Ability to establish a completely new IT team to support an established dynamic and fast paced client

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization

  • Experience managing a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf, (COTS) product / life-cycle

  • Creating road-maps, interfacing with clients, managing expectations

  • Understanding the market place, driving product direction, communicating to leadership, setting budgets

  • Experience:

  • Expert in e-commerce order management model, warehouse logistics & supply chain fulfillment strategies

  • Proven track record of managing and delivering high profile internal and external projects

Desired Traits:

  • Solution/Architect & Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience

  • ERP Experience, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics NAV (ERP) experience

  • Large scale integration experience. SalesForce, SSO, client custom integration.

  • Agile management tool experience: TFS, Version One, JIRA, Rally, etc…

  • Strong interpersonal & organizational skills, must be able to interface, collaborate and motivate across all levels of the company

  • Attention to detail and proactive engagement
