/Job Summary/: Functions as a clinical expert in assigned specialty service. Coordinates and assists members of the operative team in performance of duties in the specialty service. Manages and oversees instruments, equipment, and supplies of the specialty service. Assists with surgical procedures in the scrub and circulating role.
Licensure/ Certification/ Registration: 1. Current California RN license. 2. CNOR preferred. 3. CPR B.
Education: 1. AA degree minimum.
C. Experience: Three years experience in the scrub and circulating roles in an operating room setting.
Special Qualifications: 1. Special interest and ability in appropriate specialty service. 2. Ability to trouble shoot specialty equipment. 3. Working knowledge of all surgical specialties. 4. Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology. 5. Ability to assess the needs of patients from infancy to the elderly and modify care appropriately.
