SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* 1. Supervises the decontamination, processing & distribution of sterile instrumentation. *2. Maintains effective communication with co-supervisors, CS staff, CS managers and customers. *3. Active role in supervision, training, and orientation of staff to policies/procedure, and updating of staff comprehensive training checklists. *4. Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills. *5. Demonstrates comprehensive job knowledge. *6. Assists with the organization and processing of CS related quality assurance data. *7. Gives input to annual performance evaluation for his/her staff. 8. Adheres to hospital policies and procedures, supports the mission of the hospital. *THOSE SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS WITH AN (*) ARE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS CONSIDERED NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH THIS JOB.

EXPERIENCE Required – Two years of CS/Operating Room experience required. Preferred – Previous supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office.

EDUCATION Required – High School Diploma or GED equivalent: CS Technician Certification upon hire or obtain within 18 months of employment and maintained thereafter. CPR Card
