Dell EMC's Data Protection division develops a suite of best-in-class cloud, replication, backup, and archive solutions. This division has an exciting opportunity for a Product Management professional to join our small, talented, and highly motivated Ecosystem team. This group is responsible for driving the integration of Data Protections solutions within infrastructure solutions (within and external to Dell).

In this highly visible and key role you will be responsible for leading the product management effort which includes defining and refining product requirements, enumerating and developing use cases, and driving the overall data-protection business through Hyper-converged platforms. You will work closely with engineering, product marketing, program management, finance, services, product PMs and other extended teams to effectively manage every phase of the entire product lifecycle from release through to retirement. You will need to be action-oriented, persistent and a driving force responsible for defining data protection solutions for the targeted infrastructure platforms.

A sample of the type of work you will perform:

  • Prepare and present the business case supporting a particular product or business initiative.

  • Evaluate and drive product release processes (e.g., product positioning and long term strategic business plans) with the objective to assess the right blend of trade-offs to maximize the product impact in the marketplace.

  • Work with Partner engineering teams to support integration efforts.

  • Work with product engineering teams to optimize our products for these platforms.

  • Support product releases with the back-end infrastructure readiness.

  • Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Program Management in support of the go-to-market plan for a product or business initiative, working with all departments to execute.

  • Collaborate with team members and senior staff on research, development, and presentation of new/existing product and business initiatives to gain timely management approval and handling of issues for product price, packaging, feature/functionality.

Skills/Qualifications that would make you a good fit:

  • Creative thinker with exceptional problem solving skills.

  • Experience with Data Protection products, technologies, and industry.

  • Skilled at being customer focused with strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Project and product lifecycle management experience.

  • Strong analytical skills; must be proficient with MS PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Competent at multi-tasking in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

  • MBA is desired
