Job Summary:

The primary duties of a Field Service Tech I (FST I) involves pick-up and delivery of medical equipment using a company provided box truck or van at customer/healthcare facilities. Additionally, the FST I will perform minor repairs and routine parts upgrades. This position works as part of an on-call rotation that involves a 24/7/365 operation. This position involves direct customer contact and will include frequent patient transfers. Also responsible for following identified safety procedures.

Execute pre installation maintenance, including ‘preventive maintenance’ and ‘between patient inspection’ and modification procedures on various Hill-Rom products

This position also involves using a company provided mobile device to update completed work as well as view instruction manuals used in performing repairs.

Required Experience, Education and Qualifications:

  • High schooldiploma or GED required; applicable technical or trade school trainingpreferred

  • Validdriver's license and driving record that meets Company standards

  • Obtain andmaintain a DOT physical card required

  • Ability toread, comprehend, interpret, analyze, and apply technical information includingbut not limited to technical manuals, technical bulletins, schematics, etc.

  • 2 years ofcustomer service experience

  • Strongcomputer skills to perform assignments including proficient use of requiredsoftware programs including MS Word, MS Excel.

  • Experiencewith medical devices, FDA regulated products preferred.

  • Mastery ofbasic mathematical skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
