JOB SUMMARY The Regional Strategist is responsible for maintaining 1, 3 and 10-year strategic portfolio plans for the region. Reporting to the Regional Integrator and supporting the RE & Strategy Practice Lead to develop, improve, harmonise and maintain planning tools, processes and outputs across the regions. The Regional Strategist delivers solutions to Microsoft Regional Real Estate and Facility Director (RE&F) in liaison with Microsoft Subject Matter Expert (Centre of Excellence) and Microsoft's key internal and external stakeholders. This role is supported by a Real Estate Analyst. Complexity: Medium to Large Risk: Medium to Large Duration: Short term: 6 - 12 months Value: Typically > $100k USD Geography: National/Regional/Global Oversees a Team * Delivery of Plan of Records and all other key strategic planning reports in line with the Rhythm of the Business (ROB) * Responsible for delivery of real estate strategies and portfolio plans meeting the goals and objectives of the (insert Americas, APAC, or EMEA) region business divisions. * Responsible for helping develop, maintain and improve the planning tools and modeling to ensure consistent analysis and planning procedures * Bring strategic concepts and portfolio planning practices and efficient real estate usage, such as portfolio market analysis. * Lead initiative support from business case development through rollout. * Establish strong working relationship with RE&F leaders, Center of Excellence and CBRE's RE & Strategy Practice Leader on the Integrator account to collaborate in developing best practices, process, methodology, tools and systems to ensure understanding of business drivers. * Ensure campus and site strategies and documented plan is completed and updated. * Compare practices, process and metrics against other industry benchmarks. * Performs additional job duties as requested. *Leads medium to large, complex cross-functional projects and programs end-to-end using a formal PMO process. *Facilitates the development of a charter and integrated timeline. *Ensures that all functions remain on schedule and that issues get escalated and resolved and that the program is completed successfully. Facilitates meetings to review active and pending projects (project pipeline). Collaborates with core team to develop solutions and lead project team(s) through implementation and completion. Manages internal and external relationships in support of program(s); may contract and manage vendors. May provide consultation on complex medium to large scale projects that integrate into an organized program. Creates, maintains & distributes routine PMO reports, including status reports and updated Gantt charts. May manage/oversee a team who are responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of projects and programs. Serves as the primary client contact and escalation point for any staffing, bandwidth or delivery issues. *Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values. *Other duties may be assigned. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE *Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university. Minimum four years of related experience. *Prior Supervisory experience preferred. CERTIFICATES and/o
