Cenovus Energy Facility Integrity Technician in Redcliff, Alberta

Cenovus Energy Inc. is seeking a candidate to join the Conventional Oil and Natural Gas Operations team as a Facility Integrity Technician.

This position focuses on the integrity data management of in-service assets through the life cycle of the facility with particular emphasis on pipelines. The successful candidate will provide support in pipeline risk assessments and data management associated with Cenovus Pipeline Integrity Management Program. This position will also provide technical assistance with pipeline internal corrosion mitigation plan assurance and development of pipeline preventative maintenance programs.

Our Facility Integrity team is seeking energetic and qualified individuals to support our long term safety, environmental and production goals.

This is an employee position to be based out of our Redcliff, AB (preferred) or Brooks, AB locations.

  • Conduct pipeline risk assessments with field staff using the corporate pipeline risk assessment tool (WebRAT)

  • Monitor pipeline risk assessment action item completion progress

  • Assist with field implementation of the pipeline integrity management database (IRAS)

  • Support development of pipeline integrity plans using the corporate maintenance management system (Maximo)

  • Conduct pipeline internal corrosion mitigation program assurance

  • Complete updates to Cenovus Pipeline Integrity Management Program

  • Compile pipeline integrity statistics and help identify continuous improvement opportunities

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

  • Strong computer application and database management skills (e.g. MS Office)

  • Strong communication, organization and technical writing skills

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license

  • 5 or more years of experience in pipeline or facility integrity management would be an asset

  • Previous experience with risk assessment and mitigation would be an asset

  • Certified Technician would be an asset
