High School or GED equivalent0-2 years in customer service preferred.Able to use effective communication and interpersonal skills. Flexible in scheduling to meet the needs of the patient, physician, and site practice. Basic computer skills necessary.
The Customer Service Associate, is a clerical associate who is responsible for direct and indirect patient care activities. The CSA also helps maintain efficient workflow to ensure high quality health care in their department.
Accepts responsibility and performs only those tasks within CSA scope of practice
Verifies and enters Patient insurance information as necessary in multiple computer systems
Obtains patient information and data according to policy standards and enters data accordingly
Manages wait times of the patient to reduce patient wait times expectations
Refers telephone calls and faxes to RN/Provider when assessment of patient is required
Informs patient of changes in appointment times either by phone or by mailings
Collects payments as required for serviced provided in the department or as directed by Financial services
This position is full time and benefit eligible.
